Local artist creates mural for her father to enjoy at Fremantle Court

24 January 2019 – NCF

Residents can enjoy a mural at Fremantle Court nursing home in Stoke Mandeville, thanks to the creation of a beautiful mural landscape painted by Toni Standing.

Rosemary Hicks, an activity organiser at The Fremantle Trust, was liaising with Toni, a member of Chilterns Art Group, to develop the idea of creating a mural with a fossil theme so it has personal significance for her dad.

The result is a stunning landscape depicting the Jurassic Coastline of Charmouth and surrounding areas, where Toni and her family have been on holiday and spent time hunting for fossils.
