Santé! Frustrated NHS patients sent to France toast fast service

Dozens of people have been sent by the NHS to the city in northern France for treatment after they lost patience with waiting times in Britain.

The number of British patients treated at the main Calais hospital rose after the flu epidemic forced the NHS to cancel non-urgent care, including 55,000 non-elective operations last winter.
