NHS trust frets over finding replacement for Carillion on Birmingham hospital

01 November 2018 – Building News

Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust is still trying to find a replacement to complete the Birmingham hospital left in the lurch by Carillion’s collapse earlier this year.

In board papers published ahead of its 01.11.2018 meeting, the Trust said the risk of not being able to find a firm prepared to take over the Midland Met site next year was still significant.

The Trust is hoping the scheme in Smethwick will finish by 2022.
