Dementia patients are being given fidget bears in Hull hospital – here’s why

03 October 2018 – Hull Daily Mail

Elderly people with dementia have been given fidget bears to occupy their hands and keep them calm. The bears were knitted by members of the public.

The bears loop over the fingers of patients affected by memory loss, confusion or delirium, meaning they are less likely to pull out intravenous lines and drips delivering essential fluids and medication.
