Care Quality Commission finds further improvements at Medway NHS Foundation Trust

26 July 2018 – CQC

England’s Chief Inspector of Hospitals welcomed improvements at Medway NHS Foundation Trust after an inspection by CQC.
A team of inspectors visited Medway Maritime Hospital in April 2018 to check the quality of six core services: emergency and urgent care, medicine (including older persons care), surgery, critical care, outpatients and diagnostic imaging.

Inspectors have some found improvements, but said there are still some areas where further improvements are required to ensure that patients receive consistently safe care.

Overall the trust remains rated as Requires Improvement for the quality of its services.
