Disgraced NHS boss who lied his way into a string of top jobs by faking qualifications is ordered to sell his boat and cash in a pension plan to repay tens of thousands

27 July 2018 – Daily Mail

John Andrewes’ frauds led to him being overpaid £643,000 at a Cornwall trust. He was jailed for two years last year but brought back to have assets confiscated, such as his boat and to cash in a pension, or he will face more jail time.

Former social worker John Andrewes, 64, talked his way into running a hospice and two NHS trusts with fake qualifications.

He became chairman of the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, running one of the largest NHS organisations in the South West, which included Treliske Hospital in Truro among its assets.
