Cancer and mental health to become the focus of NHS funding

Chief Executive, Simon Stevens has said that thousands of new doctors need to be recruited in order to improve the NHS’ cancer and mental health care.

Vacancies for 100,000 doctors and nurses are currently available across the NHS and despite the £20m funding deal announced by Prime Minister, Theresa May in June, but there is no guarantee that the money will be spent on filling these positions.
