GPs telling children to exaggerate mental health symptoms if they want NHS treatment

CQC has said that too many children and young people could not get any help until they reached “crisis point” due to rationing of treatment around the country.

The review of mental health services for children and young people said restrictions on treatment meant vulnerable patients were being told that their best hope of help was to exaggerate.
